Join us for a conversation with a Casting Director...
This month we will be having an engaging sit down conversation and Q&A with Kirkland Moody and/or Bobby Bolton of Clockwork Casting.
Kirkland and Bobby have been in the commercial casting business FOREVER. If you're not too familiar with Clockwork Casting yet you may remember Francene Selkirk Casting. These two were her right and left hand men, running her day to day operations and casting hundreds of commercial spots every year. In 2020, after Francene retired, Kirk and Bobby rebranded as Clockwork Casting and have been going strong ever since.
They have both held many positions in the commercial casting process and have a wealth of knowledge to share with you. Join us for our round table talk as we discuss a variety of topics. Including the ins and outs of the casting world, the positive and challenging sides of commercials in general, and how their point of views have changed as they've moved through different roles within the industry.
Remember this is a private event, only open to members. It is a chance to connect with Kirk and Bobby in a small group setting, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, get to know them, and continue building a relationship with two of the hardest working guys in the business!

Bio:
Clockwork Casting is comprised of casting directors/owners Kirkland Moody and Bobby Bolton. Previously colleagues under Francene Selkirk Casting, Kirkland and Bobby have worked in all areas of commercial casting and have more than 50 years of combined experience in the business. With their rare combination of creativity and hustle Kirkland and Bobby understand how to find, select, and direct the best available talent to make any project successful.
KIRKLAND MOODY: For 29+ years, Kirkland Moody has been a workhorse in the entertainment business. His breadth of experience from actor and casting associate to session director and casting director gives him a bedrock foundation for his current work with Clockwork Casting.
Kirkland got his start in Orlando, Florida when he worked with Herb Mandell casting films, TV, commercials, industrials, and starting an extras company. Upon moving to Los Angeles, he stepped directly into casting with Danny Goldman for 4 years. He then helped open AKA Talent Agency as their first employee, then moved back to casting working with Beth Holmes Casting. In 2002, he went freelance working with such casting directors as Dan Bell, Lisa Fields, Cathi Carlton, RMB Casting, Shane Casting, ASG Casting, and then primarily with Francene Selkirk.
During this period, he was also a casting director for a variety of films, pilots commercials and music videos, including working with James Moll on the Steven Spielberg project “Oswiecim: Auschwitz” for the Shoah Foundation, a film permanently installed at the Auschwitz Memorial.
Also during this time, Kirkland was an actor in 40 commercials, so he truly understands being on both sides of the camera.
As a casting associate or session director, Kirkland has worked with: The Coen Brothers, Larry Charles, Harold Einstein, Tom Kuntz, Craig Gillespie, Zach Braff, Brian Billow, Douglas Avery, Chris Smith, Mark Pellington, Rosey, Joe Pytka, Benji Weinstein, Nicolai Fuglsig, Aaron Stoller, Tony Kaye, Matt Smukler, Chris Wilcha, Brent Thomas, The Doctor Twins, Fred Goss, Trish Sie, Phil Joanou, Fred Savage, Steve Rogers, Dave Merhar, David McNally, Zach Math, Rob Pritts, Sean Ehringer, Nick Ball, Kevin Thomas, Renny Maslow, Boris Damast, Tom Routson, Ray Dillman, John Mastromonaco, Kinka Usher, Roger Donaldson, Mark Romanek, Brad Parker, Alan White, Marcus McCollum, David Kellogg, Lisa Rubisch , Paul Dektor, Sam Jones and Henry Winkler.
BOBBY BOLTON: Bobby stepped into casting while still working as a commercial actor. He began as a camera operator for real people and location casting directors including: Mimi Webb Miller, Cathi Carlton, Joe Blake, and Mary Claire Sweeters. Eventually he transitioned to full-time assistant work in Cathi Carlton’s office, handling the busy day-to-day workflow.
Still acting and eager for greater flexibility, Bobby moved on to freelancing as a session director, primarily with Jeff Rosenman. This turned out to be the ideal career balance at the time, as he was able to do real people casting (both locally and nationally) as well as work in the studio with some amazing and talented directors including: Errol Morris, Kathryn Bigelow, Anthony Minghella, Sydney Pollack, Janusz Kaminski, and Michael Apted.
Bobby met Francene Selkirk in 2003, and spent the past 16 years working with her primarily, and ultimately running her office as a full-time assistant and then as her associate.
